Yes, I smoke weed. No, I’m not an unemployed pothead.
In fact, I’m employed full-time as a trial lawyer, blog in my free-time, and have a fiancé + dog that I love very much. I write, hike, exercise, build models (anything from Star Wars to little libraries), garden, play Magic the Gathering, play video games, and spend time with family + friends. By all accounts, I’m active, on-the-go, and high strung. Which, while great for my performance in most areas of my life, also has its drawbacks.
When I first starting using marijuana, I smoked. And boy, did it scare the hell out of me. No – the high wasn’t the scary part. It was the stigma; the risk of getting caught. I worried whether it would derail my goals of becoming an attorney and helping people. Instead, some of my most hilarious stories and memories all started with a group of friends smoking some marijuana. Marijuana’s effects helped me slow down and enjoy these times . . . and to eat.
The effects of marijuana are different from person to person, and are impacted by marijuana’s vast array of strains. Each of these strains has its own unique terpene profile that changes how it effects the user. Add in that *how* you use the marijuana further changes how it will effect the user, and you’ve got a recipe for a whole lot of confusion and overwhelming options.

This blog is so many things, but first and foremost it is a place for information, connection, and community. I’ll be sharing my thoughts and the knowledge that I have on marijuana, CBD, terpenes, methods of consumption, and sometimes, the state of cannabis law + marijuana legalization.
