Oreo Cookie THC “Popper” Recipe – A Quick, Yummy Way to Eat Your Weed!

Deceptively simple, devilishly effective – these are every stoners best kept secret! My friends and I used to whip up a huge batch of these before comedy shows and concerts, and we’d eat them out of sandwich bags all day while we got ready and ran errands (disclaimer: no driving involved, we lived in the city & walked everywhere). Once, we had one go missing from the oven, although no one (so some believed) had been in the kitchen – I believe a certain snarky roommate was behind it, others believe even the city mice liked our oreo poppers.

These marijuana cookies (pot cookies!) are fast and effective. -you’ll feel effects within 45 minutes – 1 hour, and it’ll last anywhere from 3-6 hours on average. The high is easy/gentle, but definitely head-rush heavy. Use with caution!

Some may call them by a different name, but this is what we always used, and it stuck. They’re a quick and dirty way to have a bunch of edibles with minimal effort. See our recipe below!

Ingredients:

You’re going to need the following, and the amounts are easy to adjust:

  • 1 Pack of Oreos (family size)
  • 1 Cup Peanut Butter (not crunchy)
  • 1/8 oz to 1/2 oz finely ground marijuana (depends on your strength preference)
  • 1 -2 tsp Coconut oil (vary depending on amount of marijuana you use)

You’ll need the following tools/materials:

  • Large Bowl
  • Baking Sheet
  • Fork (to mix)
  • Knife (to remove cream)
  • Tin Foil

Instructions for Oreo Cookie “Poppers”

Start by decarb’ing your weed: (decarboxylation is necessary to draw out the active components of THC)

  • Spread a layer of tin foil, shiny side down, over your baking sheet;
  • Pre-heat your oven to 225 degrees farenheight;
  • Grind up your desired amount of weed, and spread evenly over the baking sheet as the oven pre-heats;
  • Place your baking sheet into the oven and let the marijuana heat for 35 minutes.

While the weed is in the oven:

  • Take your oreos, carefully twist and remove one side and place on a plate to the side;
  • Using the butter knife, scrape the cream into your bowl;
  • Place the second cookie aside on a plate;
  • Repeat to all cookies.

Once all of your cookies have been “cleaned” as we used to say:

  • Mix the 1 Cup peanut butter and a bit of coconut oil into the cookie cream;
  • Make sure all ingredients are fully mixed;
  • Set aside.

Once your marijuana has finished decarb’ing:

  • Pre-heat oven to 325 degrees farenheight;
  • Mix the marijuana into the cream/peanut butter mixture;
  • Once evenly spread throughout, spread mixture between cookies, wrapping each cookie in tin foil, tightly;
  • Place the cookies side-by-side, tightly wrapped, on the baking sheet;
  • Once all cookies have been filled/wrapped, place baking sheet into pre-heated oven;
  • Bake at 325 degrees for 30 minutes, until heated throughout.
